Turbo install for 1996 Honda Accord 2.2L F22B1 with Factory 5 speed manual transmission.

Question type: Car Customization

I'm researching turbo setups for my 1996 Honda Accord EX 5-speed
manual.  The engine has 476,000 miles on it, and I have owned since 1996
bought used with 18,000 miles on it. It doesn't burn oil and runs like a
champ. I don't want to do anything to change the magic of the engine so new
head gaskets or header bolts are out of the question. The question is how
much turbo boost should be realistically acceptable without doing damage to
stock gaskets and header bolts.  I am looking at a Borg Warner S200SX
turbo rated for 220-580hp so I am assuming if I run around 240hp range then
I shouldn't risk damage to the engine, but should increase fuel efficiency and
performance significantly. What pressure range would this be from the turbo
though.

Half a millions miles? I would say no boost at all. Keep it under 5 psi but you probably will not get far even at low boost.
