There's a lot of bolt on's. Speed costs money - how fast can you afford to go? Intakes, cams, heads, pistons, headers, exhausts, etc.
Engine swap? Put a vtec in there instead. I had a 94 EXR with vtec and a 96 EX non-vtec and the motor in the 94 put the 96 to shame.
