Asked by Uniquedeity9 Mar 01, 2019 at 02:22 PM about the 2007 Hyundai Elantra GL Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car won't go into reverse. I don't know why. It
was working just fine last night. No unfamiliar
sounds, no leaks. Woke up today get in car and No
Reverse. What could this be?

It might be that the trans fluid is just low, preventing the trans from moving in reverse. If it's a mechanical problem, it could be the reverse clutch or the control solenoid. See a transmission shop for a test.
