Google wikipedia for your year and model of Honda they give a very good breakdown the Generations of most makes and models. The article will tell you which generation or years are pretty much interchangeable, such as 1997 to 1999 for example. You can then check further by going to a good web parts site like rockauto.com and type in your year make & model, click on the part you want to know if interchangeable, then click on all models this part fits.
