What's wrong with my 2009 Hyundai Accent

I bought this car for really cheap and
the only known problem was the
catalytic converter was clogged. I fix
that issue but now it sputters
between 2500 and 3000 RPMs or
pretty much when I try to stay out of
consistent speed. If I barely step on
the throttle it runs fine and if I floor it
it runs fine but it doesn't give me any
in between. It feels like a fuel problem
but there's nothing wrong with the
fuel pump and this car has no fuel
filter. It doesn't throw any codes and
there's no check engine light. What
could it be?

I replace the coils and spark plugs and change the oil
If you "fixed" the cat by bypassing or gutting the honeycomb then you don't have enough back pressure for the engine to run properly ..also could be the MAF needs a good cleaning
Wouldn't the car throw a code if the mass airflow sensor needs to be cleaned?
BTW back pressure isn't really a good thing. That's a misconception. Look it up. A motor doesn't need back pressure to run properly
True .. in fact if you run an engine with very little back pressure it will probably run really great // until you melt the exhaust valves . The cars computer adjusts air/ fuel ratio based on a gaggle of information .. The program (algorithm) is written based on curves that manufacturers recorded. You asked a question but it seems you already know the answer. I have a question for you "How did you bypass the cat without a CEL ? If you installed a trick device to make the engine "Think" the O2 was working than there's your problem
