son in law dumped a 2000 ford escort on us. won't start, but will turn over.  
changed plugs and wires. what is the next step to check?

There is a emergency impact fuel shutoff on the pass. side wall in the trunk, it has a reset button ,check it. Also if you can or you can get somebody to do it put a obd llcode reader on it to check your sensors , I suspect that with fuel and fire a crankshaft position sensor, or throttle position sensor.
