Opinion Question: When is it time to give up on having constant high priced repairs done and just get a newer car?

Asked by GuruG4T5 Jun 14, 2017 at 12:37 PM about the 1998 Honda Accord LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm interested in what others think about repairing an old car as opposed to
giving it up and buying a newer car. Repairs seem to come up every few
months. Thanks!

If you can do the work yourself you can keep and older car on the road for a long time and for not a lot of money. If you take it to a dealer for repairs you may be better off with a new car.
