Steering wheel or column? There nothing in there that could smoke except electrical components, and you most certainly must have fried something, probably the ignition switch. (smoke could have originated in the column and just crept out of the steering wheel too). This could be a real fire hazard, so you will have to get it looked at. Either the steering wheel or the column or both will have to be opened up and probed for whatever singed.

I meant the steering wheel sorry about that and well the ignition switch is a few months old which I don't understand but you're probably right it might me the switch because there's no burned signs or wires melted when I opened it up and when I put my key in and turn it it doesn't stay still like I had to hold on to it to put my windows up cause I parked it a street away from home when the incident happend
