okay i have a 1998 honda accord v6 when i dont put the foot on the break and i can stilll move the gear shift is that a bad thing ?

some cars don't have a shift interlock, if your does be thankful that it is stuck in the ok to shift position. Having said that this is a safety feature, if you have children that are in the car with you they can shift the car into gear without pushing on the break. so it should be fixed
