Why is my car going hot

My 1999 Honda accord LX just started
leaking water and going hot..I don't know
where to start..can you help me

see if the coolant fans are coming on when it gets hot , find the source of the coolant leak ,, remove the thermostat and see if it opens up in a pan of hot/boiling water , what does the exhaust look like ? pull the oil fill cap and look on the bottom what do you see ?
