1999 Honda accord only starts later in the day

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

99 honda accord, south Florida. For the past 4 days every morning when I go
to leave for work around 8:30am my car will crank over but will not start. Then
everyday when I get home from work around 5:30 it fires right up and runs
fine. I've already replace the Main relay that didn't work, any suggestions?

Could be a bad fuel pump, have you checked the pressure? It sounds like the pressure is building up as the car sits in the heat all day.

jnorman, I just got some good info from another question I answered about what may be your problem, copy and paste thiese links and check them out; http://honda-tech.com/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/pgm-fi- relay-bad-2544200/ http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/mainrelay.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0F2OsgXmshI

Since it's the weekend now and I'm off work, I went and tried to crank my car again at around 8:30 am still nothing, but I went back out around 10:00am and it fired right up. I drove it around all day yesterday stopping at several places and it started right up no problem everytime

I read the info from your link above its all about the main relay, which I've already replaced.
