Replaced clutch master cylinder now the clutch is soft.

Hi, I went to a mechanic to diagnos a clutch pedal that would stick to the floor
in 1st gear and reverse. I wanted them to just bleed the system, but they
talked me into replacing the master cylinder. When the work was complete I
realized the the clutch was much softer and that it engaged super early (at the
top of the pedal play, away from the floor.) Is this something I should be
concerned about? Was it just not bled properly? Thanks in advanced.
