Would a 96 honda transmission work on a
99 honda accord?

You need to post more data for a correct answer. Check the engine codes, if it starts the same, a big change to fit. Again, check the transmission code on the cases. And last of all, try on the auto parts sites, some are advertised to fit various engines, so could find an answer there! Best of luck!
