2000-2004 has 240 and 2005-2008 has 237 the newer models have less horsepower, but a little more torque

the only reason that the 2004 s2000 has less horsepower is because SAE changed how they measured horsepower. They are the same in horsepower. Now torque is a different story

The AP1 Pumps out 245 (JDM) and tops out at 9000RPM (Althought the actual ECU Limiter is 9200RPM) The AP2 Pumps out the same 245 (But lower in america because of the SAE revisions and different tuning) and tops out at 8500RPM (ECU=8750Rpm) but makes more torque given the larger displacement. The lower redline is also attributed to the lowered revability of the bigger displacement.
