have you checked the IAC valve and TPS sesor and seen if the throttle cable is tight enough if it is not the cable will only pull a little if it is stretched it will need replaced and it will only rev neer the floor of the acceleration stroke

No i havent, but when im driving normally and then i give it some gas and floor it the rpms go up but soon as it reaches 4 rpms it stutters until i let off the pedal

Check the EGR valve and air passages, make sure they are clean and not plugged with soot, and also check the cam and crank sensors if applicable to your engine.

Is it okay to clean the EGR valve even though it does not give me the code for a EGR VALVE problem ??

13,095

Yes it is fine, especially since not all egr problems will always give a code. I am not familiar with your engine, but on my v6 honda these are a known problem and they actually have a kit to retrofit the EGV valve and drill out the passage.

Just about all egr valves have gaskets, but if you take your time removing it they are almost always reusable. Let me know how you make out. Did you check those other web links I sent you?

Maybe you have to register at the sites to view them, I don't know. I belong to many many forums so I can just go to them and view and post in them.

I think i will clean my EGR VALVE first instead of the passages ...... To see if it fix it ... Im not much of a mech.. But i believe egr valve is easier and quicker to remove and install back

Luis, it is just as easy to clean the passages while you have the valve off, because the passages are directly under the valve. If they get partially or completely plugged the car won't run right or at all. Just use plenty of carb/choke cleaner and a small round wire brush to break up and clear as much as you can and it should help.

I cleaned my egr valve and replaced the gasket but it still not go over 4 rpms .... Is the passages for when you have bad idles on the car?
