Motor swap

I have a very clean 83 Malibu wagon with v6 I want
to swap to v8 and I can't find info on trans I would
like to know if bolt pattern is the same

The V6 tranny won't handle the power of the V8 even if it did fit, you would be better off finding a complete V8 power train and dropping it in instead of doing it 1 piece at a time. That heavy of a wagon I would not go any smaller than a 350, or you won't be gaining anything power wise.
