car won't start

Asked by FrankMcGriff Nov 23, 2014 at 08:30 AM about the 2001 Ford Taurus SES

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Accessories sometimes don't work in cold weather, work when it warms up; had this
scenario last week when it was bitter cold one morning, accessories(radio, rear window
defroster, heater blower motor, turn signals, etc) although car did start initially but had
to turn around on the way to work and go back home because I couldn't see; scraped
ice off  windows, then decided maybe problem with acc. was related to fuse panel
under the hood(not sure why, maybe just a hunch) so pushed down on fuses to re-seat
and now the car won't start! Accessories came back on probably because of warming,
but get no clicking sound or anything when trying to start it.

check all battery connections. even the ground on the block to make sure all are clean and tight. charge the battery fully or try jump starting. If you have charged the battery and still a no go, take it out and take it somewhere to be load tested.
