The car was cranking fine 2 days ago I put some seals in and transmission because it was leaking transmission fluid I really don't think it's the ignition double checked every wire ever ground still won't start unless you manually started from the starter and it will run after you do that

Uggggg! Let's see, Transmission work - I wonder if the Neutral Safety Switch could be out of Adjustment or is still unplugged. Will it crank if you hold the key in the crank position while moving the shifter? TopShade Tree doesn't appear to know very much about diagnostics or your Taurus. An Ignition Module is generally something that fires the Ignition Coil - this car doesn't have one. The actuator rod you mention is present on much older Ford vehicles - not the Taurus. Now, keeping in mind that the TRANSMISSION had been worked on and cranking was ok PRIOR to the transmission work - it would stand to deduce that the malfunction has to do with the Adjustment of the Neutral safety switch (Transmission Range Selector), the adjustment of the Transmission Range Selector Cable or both.

I agree with Tracy. Double check your work. Was anything left unplugged or might have been jarred loose during the work? Could any wires have gotten pinched some how? I feel your solution is in this area.
