First check your fluid that's fine could be a power steering pump or rack and pinion issue have someone help you turn the steering wheel all the way to the left or right and look inside the power steering pump to see if the fluid is circulating check your rack and pinion to make sure it's not leaking a bad rack and pinion would be hard spots in the steering wheel while turning hope this helps
