my honda accord starts jerking at 3000 rpms when im driving and tring to accelerate. why?

Is the check engine light on. If it is, check for codes. If not, could be a lot different things that can cause it to do that, like low fuel pressure, spark plugs, ignition coils, timing, dirty throttle body, bad sensor.

Could also be a switch on the side of the tranny out of adjustment or gone bad, that controls the shifting.
