02 passport- front rotors

I have a 2002 passport.It needs front rotors.My Haynes manuael tells me I need to dissasembile(take apart) the aouto hubs.Now ,My honda does not have aouto hubs, Its got the drive axle going into the hub assembley, with the axle nut installed.Q> can the rotor be removed without taking off the axle nut or must it come off first.
