car trouble

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i have a 02 honda civic , replaced radiator, heater
cord, thermostat but the problem still is on going. the
car is still over heating and looses power to where it
wont drive past 20 mph. dont know whaT else to do.

Yes sorry replaced the heat censor also. Mechanic has had my car for 4 days already and still trying to figure re it out. Hooked it up to the machine and replaced what it said also catalyst converters.

i think your radiator grills r chocked clean them with low pressure air so that all the dust from the grills r drawn out then report your progress

apparently that is muhammads solution for all over heating problems... failed to notice that it says a new radiator...anyways do you know if the fan is turning on? it could be as simple as a bad fan switch

i tell this to people because this is most the cause in many places like our country and and sry i didnt see the new radiator written

check your spark plugs and ignition coils they can also cause overheating if not properly igniting the fuel mixture and the catalytic convertor if its choked

If the car is over heating and loosing power, you may have a bad head or head gasket. Do a compression test, also check the hoses. I had the hoses suck flat on my civic and no water was passing through.
