Car over heating

what does the exhaust look like ? look on the bottom of the oil fill cap and tell me what you see

if its blowing hot air heater the water pump is working

The coolant is leaking internally most likely or oil is infiltrating the coolant ports through out the head and block which may be caused by a faulty head gasket. Open the white cap for the coolant overflow reservoir (next to your battery, to the right), check to see if there is brown or black sticky residue and then smell it, if it smells like burnt oil then that is the culprit. The water pump will work but since oil is getting into the coolant the functionality of things like the thermostat, water pump, etc. will suffer and the engine will overheat. I unfortunately drive around with the heat on even in the summer to help cool the engine down. Good luck, your best bet is swap out the motor.

Sorry, coolant overflow reservoir location should be to the left of your battery and right in front of your engine.
