my e150 will start but not stay running unless I keep my foot on the gas

I have a 2004 e150 it starts but will not stay running unless I keep my foot on the gas, it was running fine but when I went to start it after going to the store I had to use both feet to drive to make it home. what is the problem?

Fuel injection pressure sensor (regulator) could be bad. Just priced it out. Quite expensive to replace. Did the check engine light come on? If so, take it to a garage and have them read the codes. Could be a number of things. You can start cheap and try replacing the fuel filter but if you are not getting fuel I suspect a bad regulator or bad fuel pump....
