1999 Honda Civic coupe won’t start

So my car won’t start, it doesn’t even turn over, the
lights come on. Yesterday it made a loud squeaking
noise for about a minute while I was stopped in
traffic and for a few seconds while driving and now  
this morning it won’t start. I was having some
trouble with the ac compressor pullie I bought the
part a few days ago but I’m not sure if this is why it
won’t start today.

is one of the belts broken ? make sure the batt is charged and the terminals are tight , if the alt is bad some vehicles shut down ,
