what could be wrong when the radiator fan won't turn off?

Radiator fan keeps on running even when the car is turned off. Won't stop
unless detached from the battery.

Thanks , I had checked the relays in accordance with the service manual procedure , had to replace the radiator fan relay even replace fuse & relay box under the hood, I figured, it could be the ECT sensor and had it replaced BUT to no avail.
