I have a 2004 honda pilot and no codes. The mechanic just replaced the timing
belt kit and changed the spark plugs. It coded after I drove less than 5 miles.
P1399, engine light intermittently on while I drove back to the mechanic.
Immediately it idled a bit rough and down at my feet.
What do you suggest?

P1399 indicates a random misfire in the engine. A valve adjustment should correct it. A blocked EGR passage can cause it.
