Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car did not come with a spare.  Hate donuts.  Trying to put together a
mounted spare.  The latest wrinkle is do I need an 8" or 8 1/2" width rim?
Does it matter?

Check with a Cadillac dealership for advise on what wheel to use.

Hi Bob, Unfortunately the Caddy dealership approach did not work. They will try to find me a wheel and tire....should cost around $350 or they can order me a donut/jack/lug wrench for $740 (yeah, $740). While very polite, they are not providing any part numbers or other details!
