Replace breather hose

Asked by heatherfeather1276 Nov 26, 2018 at 08:57 AM about the 2004 Honda Accord LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Greetings...My car stuttered off after I started it first thing in the morning and
it finally started after a few more tries. My battery is new so I knew that
wasn't the problem.

I replaced the breather hose on my Honda accord LX (4 cyl) earlier this year
(6 mos ago at the most) . Now my engine light is on again so I quickly took
the care to AutoZone  and the error code they read says "replace breather
hose".

The readout says:
*Code P0171- indicates that the Bank 1 System is too lean for a
predetermined period of time.
*P0171- Fuel System Too Lean (Bank 1)

In lieu of the fuel system, I have noticed that lately my gas runs out pretty
quickly...

My questions are:
1. What could be the problem if I already replaced the breather hose?
2. Does this sound like an expensive fix?

Thanks in advance for any insight,
HB - Chicago, IL.
