why didn't insurance company total it?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2005 Civic VP AT SSRS, 11823mi.
Rear-ended on right side while stationary (no air-bag deployment).
A little crabby at fwy speed, deck racked but able to close/lock lid.
Aww only one photo allowed.
At-fault driver/State Farm paying claim - their shop estimate $4500 + 3.5 weeks.
High KBB $4625, Edm $4122
Am i missing something? Why wouldn't they total it?

Something is not right! Go to Blue Book enter all your car's information and mileage and get the real wholesale vehicle's worth and compare against the body shop's bill then according to what you get call the company and argue your case. A bent frame after repaired is never the same you'll have a lot of issues post repair regardless what body shop or insurance tells you
