If I get bigger rims for my 2016 honda accord would I have to get after market control arms so that the control arms are not hyper extended and break the bushings on em?

As long you keep the wheels offset or depth the same you shouldn't have any problem, but you are limited by the fenders depth on how big the diameters of the tires are.
