I have a 2003 trailblazer and today while driving my oil gage went form 40 to 80 stayed on 80 for a while then back to 60.. what can this be.

It's normal for the pressure gauge to fluctuate while driving, however, up to 80 is a lot. I'd look at your oil pressure switch as the problem. Easy and cheap fix.
