My 2001 Dodge neon se started running rough and surging at light, wouldn't accelerate. It was a disconnected vacuum hose that swelled from age and disconnected. I cleaned the throttle body and plugged hose in at the bottom to the left of the radiator and it ran like a champ

Check corrugated hose between throttle body and intake manifold. My 02 Neon just developed these issues this afternoon and I found a crack had formed in bottom of that hose. I was able to duct tape it after cleaning and problem is gone. I will now buy a new hose
