Unknown VW frame year

Asked by MSgtSmith May 17, 2018 at 02:38 PM about the 1979 Volkswagen Beetle Hatchback

Question type: General

Need the Rear Axle Slotted Nut and new brakes for my trike with a Honda front
and VW back.  I don't know the year or how to find out.  I think the nut is a 24
mm?  The outside measures 34.925 mm and the inside is 23.8125 mm.  The
hub has 5 lugs.  I have pictures of the nut and can take more of the back if it
helps.
