Bjb fuse 13, interior fuses,5,10,11,35 all power the 4w4 control system. Not a scientific or correct thing to attempt is tapping on the shift motor on the back of the transfer case lightly. If the 4wd isn't used the motors contacts wont pass the needed electricity to shift and give the 4x4 module feedback to turn on the lamps.

My question is this: Son has a 1994 Ford Ranger and when he locks the hubs and puts in 4x4 it makes a clipping sound or grinding sound and eventually stops moving until you disengage the 4x4. When in 2wd it drives fine...
