Is it ok to disconnect battery when not using for 3 months

Last 2 year when back from down south car completely dead new battery last
year this one recharged

Yes, to avoid parasitic drain, as some computers and air-bag systems will have~ have to reset your clock, perhaps the pre-set stations as well~ these new tin-antimony alloy ones will last only about 5 years~ they do not take a charge up anymore, after that~

Yes it is OK but your car will need a certain amount of reprogramming when you reconnect the battery which may entail a trip to your Subaru dealer.
