Question type: Maintenance & Repair

This part fell off the bottom of my Equinox.
It has the letters ABG 7 on it. I came home
from work, parked it in my garage
overnight and when I was leaving in the
morning for work, this part was on the floor
underneath my car. Anyone know what it
is?

Since you're still under warranty I'd let the Local Chevy Dealer fix it for free! HTH. -Jim

I am taking it to the dealer today but I wanted to find out what it is or where it goes just to be safe. Don't want them to try and lie to me and tell me it doesn't belong just so they don't have to fix it.

I see. Good plan! Many people don't realize that if a vehicle is purchased preowned within the warranty period you're still covered. Since I didn't know if you knew that or if you purchased the vehicle new or preowned I just wanted to make sure you didn't wind up paying for the repair. HTH. -Jim

Same thing happened to me. Did you find out what it is?

I ended up taking it to the Chevy dealer but I don't remember what they said it was. However, they did use some kind of glue to get it back on.
