Volvo XC60 Remote Lock Audio Confirmation stopped working after battery died

Asked by GuruXVKYD Oct 15, 2018 at 11:33 PM about the 2016 Volvo XC60 T5 AWD

Question type: General

My 2016 Volvo XC60 is set to have a "Chirp" (AKA Audio Confirmation) occur
when I lock the doors with my FOB key. But ~2 weeks ago the battery died,
and ever since jumping the battery, this feature no longer works. I've gone to
the menu and confirmed that this setting is still active, and it is. But for some
reason it doesn't make the noise ever since the battery died. The car lights
also used to flash when I locked the doors, and that feature stopped working
at the same time.

Oddly, I had never turned on the feature where the lights flash when I UN-lock
the car doors, but I just turned that feature on, and it works.

Does anyone have any ideas about how this could be related to the battery
dying, and how I could fix/reset it?

You should be able to reset the chirp through your on-screen settings in 'My Car'. Often when batteries are disconnected or serve techs access the electronics, settings must be reset.

I had the same issue. I reset the settings in my car, and it doesn’t work either!
