flickerig lights/lock system and it dosen't turn over

My husband 2016 Chevy Colorado has all the lights flickering even the dash.
Lock system is stuck on unlock and wont lock. When we tried to start it doesn't
turn over. I am hoping it is not a transmission issue. Right now we have the
battery unplugged. because if not it looks like it is presisted with all the lights
flickering. Oh and my husband hasn't used it all weekend.
