No power in cab

Asked by Chris Feb 15, 2016 at 01:42 PM about the 2016 Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCrew 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Brand New Ford f150 Lariat with all the bells and whistles!   Dealer installed
the cellular start module.  The truck was delivered to me Saturday and ran
fine for the Day.  Sunday morning I could not remote or cellular start the
truck.    I could start it by using the push button start but have no power to
any interior options heater, guages, stereo, windows, locks nothing.  Not
even the wipers work.   I can drive the vehicle and while attempting to take
it to an indoor location to take a look all power restored.  Could not locate
any loose connections but not sure if I'm looking at the right connections.
Truck was fine for the majority of the evening then last night same thing
when I went to go home from a friends home.   Drove for a bit and
everything came back on.  This morning same thing but this time it has yet
to come back on!

Sounds like a loose connection but being brand new, i would take it back to the dealer, not only that u'll get it corrected but hopefully they'll learn from that mistake and won't happen to someone else

Definitely take it back to the dealership. All new vehicles operate almost totally through the PCM. During starting procedure the power of the battery is directed almost totally to the starter, leaving accessories either dead or lacking full voltage. Bypassing the ignition switch is going to require a relay. It sounds like one is sticking. But without an electrical diagram of the remote start module everything is just a guess.
