What should I do if I used E85 fuel in a 2016 Honda Pilot ?

Asked by GuruXCV8J Oct 22, 2018 at 11:35 AM about the 2016 Honda Pilot EX AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I filled  my 2016 Honda Pilot with E85 fuel and my dashboard is saying I have
an Omisions system problem.  Found out that shouldn't use any ethanol blend
of 15% or higher.    What can/should I do?

All the guides out there suggest just topping off with regular gas and riding it out. You won't cause any damage. The check engine light will turn off when the E85 is displaced in the tank by the regular fuel.

Thanks all for your answers. Both good answers. We just might try to drain the tank best we can and won't ever do this again!
