Aftermarket HID problem

Asked by pittman1979 Jan 30, 2017 at 08:36 AM about the 2016 Kia Optima LX

Question type: Car Customization

I have a 2016 kia optima the fully loaded one. I just put aftermarket HIDs in and had to use the relay and anti-flicker kits to get them to work, I used the drivers side stock headlight socket and the passenger side one is open. So my question is how can I make it so the code on the dash doesn't say low headlight or check headlight? Can I just plug in the OEM light back in to cancel it out?

Aftermarket HID light can be a real pain in the you know what. Most are junk, don't last very long and cause problems. Perhaps contact the dealer that sold you the lights or look on their website. Some sort of resistance may need to be wired to the unoccupied socket.
