2016 Hundai Veloster Turbo Rally w/ 6 speed manual transmission

Asked by GuruVVCKH Aug 14, 2018 at 12:11 AM about the 2016 Hyundai Veloster Turbo Rally Edition FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The clutch pedal sticks to the floor while shifting and has to be pulled up manually.  Dangerous situation.  Two different dealers have worked on this issue without a successful resolution.  The problem is getting worse. Both dealers have been highly uncooperative and have to be brow beaten to even be willing to work on this vehicle

I'm leaning towards the clutch master cylinder but the clutch slave cylinder could also be the culprit, unless something is actually binding mechanically. Does it come back up off the floor easily and do you have to pull it all the way up or will it start to recover on its own? I used a bungee cord hooked to under my seat for a bit on a vehicle so the clutch pedal would return to the up postion

It’s something in the transmission I just had mine replaced on my 16 VT rspec and it fixed it. Mine was free because I was the original owner

More than likely your slave cylinder. Mine broke in half. Are you leaking any oil from the transmission? Did your brakes go to never-never land?
