we just replaced the ignition switch on my 2001 ford expedition V8/ it still wont start. is there a switch i need to locate ? i have no man to help me or $ for mechanic..

im guessing someone tried to steal it bc itwas loose and a mechanic told me it needed to be replaced. before i replaced the ignition the windows would not roll up and it would not turn iver . now the windows rolled upand it wants to start. it seems like its not getting gas.. battery is new.

Ok, your anti theft device has been activated,you will have to go get your new key,s programmed back to your computer,if it was tamperd with,anti theft was activated,it will not crank until you have a dealer program your key,s.

Yup. The engine will crank but the fuel system is shut down if the anti-theft was activated. Pay a mechanic.

And yes as tracy stated it did not shut off fire,it shut off fuel.

If you have your original owners manual, it tells you exactly how to program your keys. Dealers here charge $50 to do it. It took me less than 3 minutes to do it myself.
