Lack off acceleration

I have checked the crankshaft sensor and when I removed it, it had oil and dirt. It's that normal?

Oil is, too muck gunk is a sign of lack of oil changes

Well, there's many things than can cause it, one is the crankshaft positioning sensor, and the others that u mentioned also vacuum leaks or a dirty throttle body

The vehicle has no vacuum leaks and everything else are clean. Do you think it might be the fuel pump.

Check fuel pressure to see if it's ok. When was the last time u replaced fuel filter, if u haven't, u may want to do it as a routime maintenance anyway

I need help I just got a truck 98 expedition when I start it ,it runs roughly and when I touch the gas while in park it sounds like it ain't running but when I let off the gas it is any reason why this is happening?

Okay so I replaced the fuel pump spark plugs and coils also replace the fuel filter the truck seems like it doesn't want to have to get up and go when it starts off in the morning when I go to drive in traffic check the air flow system PCV valves it also has a problem wanting to kick over still after replacing all this any suggestions please single mom trying to do it all on her own

I also noticed that when driving it after 20 miles per hour it kicks in better but the RPMs also go high but going from start till 20 miles it shakes and it doesn't want to have any get-up-and-go

I have changed out my starter,starter ,solenoid,spark plugs ,wires,coil packstill can't figure out why my 99 Ford expedition is losing power when hitting the gas

To guruLTKTX, try your intake manifold gaskets. Notorious for going out. Easy job. Most people just live with it when you don’t have to. Another is a monster. OIL PUMP. Root of most all problems below intake.

These engines especially the 3v are ahead of their time. I love them. After you know what to look for, you quit throwing parts at them. Well maintained, hands down some of the best engines I’ve owned. There’s some upkeep. But, for what you get, well worth it. Just a little FYI, you know the 5.4 liter expedition is only rated less than 200lbs difference in towing capacity as the 2500 suburban. Look it up.

I changed all of the above and still had acceleration issues. Very costly. So I spent 50 dollars and changed the crankshaft position sensor my self and BAM! Hello acceleration!!!

I have a 07 Lincoln navigator that doednt want to get up and go when you punch the gas it happens around 80-100k nothing comes up on computer for injectors and I changed fuel filter. Will try the crankshaft sensor next. Could it be something else?
