We purchased (new) a 2015 F150. Until 10-2018, the truck was in a garage every evening. We were transferred to GA, the truck is now outside (temporarily) and we have found the truck is LEAKING and the front floorboard is completely soaked. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, how did you fix it? The truck smells like a moldy football sock and I am FURIOUS. the Ford Forum says, "oh yeah...it's a problem"....but I cannot find suggestions to fix the issue.

Make sure it is not the heater core, first. Does the water smell like coolant or is the same color? Can't tell you where the leak is, but can say what works for me if not the core. Remove the front seats, not difficult at all. Remove trim pieces which may hold carpet in place. Pull back carpet to expose entire front seat area. Get a water hose and begin checking from the bottom up. If it is leaking that bad shouldn't take long to determine the location. On some models the bolt securing the emergency brake passes through the body of the car on the drivers side. With the door open, look behind the leading edge of the fender. You may see a black rubber grommet about the size of an old style silver dollar. Pay particular attention to that area when checking.

Thank you for that information! We have an appointment to replace the carpet and to research the issue tomorrow. We also rearranged the garage and the truck will not be allowed to sit outside again. I appreciate the response!!

Forgot....shop-vacuumed the front carpet and removed over 1.5 gallons of moldy water. Tried the local Ford dealer for assistance, but ended up going to a different vendor at this point.

The Final Update: We solved the problem. We sold the F150 and purchased a Honda Ridgeline RTL-E in July 2019. It has been the best vehicle and so happy we made the switch.
