96 GMC Jimmy Overheating?

Asked by dbelnap May 09, 2011 at 12:48 PM about the 1996 GMC Jimmy 4 Dr SLT 4WD SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

In your opinion what is my next step?

I have replace:
- Radiator, intake manifold gasket, heater core, thermostat, water pump.

It seems to be steaming out, right behind the alternater to the right of the thermostat housing. My guess is blown head gasket or cracked block. Any suggestions?

Be sure to check the center head gasket first and or the water pump. I'm assuming since this post has been up a while that you have the issue resolved
