Question type: Maintenance & Repair

engine Where It Bolts to or my transmission
the bolts are still in it it looks like it broke

I hope the broken off bolts are accessible because if they are not then it will be a hell of a job to remove them.

No I mean the bolts are still connected to the broken motor mount (peice that it bolts on to broke. not motor mount itself) it looks as if it broke a hole where the bolts hold in to the there anyway to fix it or need new one..what is it engine or tranny?is it a case? 2001 ford escape 3.0

If the casting on the engine or transmission is broken you are in a lot of hurt. A welder MIGHT be able to build up the metal so a new hole could be drilled and tapped but that might very well mean pulling the motor and trans.

A car as old as your might not be worth fixing unless it is low miles and really clean. Was the car in an accident?

I just need it to last until winter is over so I can get a new one in the spring nothing is leaking. The sway bar was broke on left driver side front. I think it was the guy just repwed it I just paid $400..u think it would last a couple months? New tranny is only $700 for it
