Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I replaced the transmission in my 2001
Ford Escape XLS and the new trans
doesn't want to kick into final gear I'm
wondering if it's a sensor of any kind or
anything I can do to fix the problem, the
truck rpm's to 4-5k bust doesn't shift but
the first 3 gears are fine. It's also 2wd
transmission and the od light keeps
flashing on and off and my speedometer is
not working and I'm wondering if I replace
the speed sensor on the transmission if it
will all work properly. Someone please help
I need some advice, suggestions, or

The O/D light flashing means a transmission fault code is present in the system. Scan for the OBDii codes and see what comes up and post back. Might be a solenoid or speed sensor like your saying.
