Where is the transaxle located on 2001 ford
escape. Trying to replace clutch

I'm mechanically inclined. I do my own maintenance on my vehicles, first time replacing a clutch. Have the manual, but it's difficult to understand.

A little reality check here - if you do not know where the transaxle is (even with a manual) or where the starter is you are in over your head and you need to take your car to a pro.
